It reminds me of a story told about two British statesmen, Gladstone and Disraeli, who were invited to dine with the same woman on consecutive evenings.

When asked her impressions, she said:
“After dining with Mr. Gladstone, I thought he was the cleverest man in England. But after dining with Mr. Disraeli, I thought I was the cleverest woman in England.”
